Flowers in Detroit for this Senior session

I had so much fun with this senior session in Detroit. I love how rich the colors are in the murals. And can we please talk about how blue and sparkling her eyes are?!?!? I was obsessed and couldn’t take enough close ups! When I asked what colors they wanted or what type of images they wanted, I was told pinks, purples and that she was wearing some floral prints. Well Detroit did not disappoint for this grad’s pictures. Check out more from this beauty’s session!!

Detroit + Hockey = Awesome Grad Session

As I put together the picture order from this awesome grad session, I realized that I never blogged about it. I just couldn’t believe myself!! But I remembered that I wanted to wait until after Dominic’s second session to post. That’s right! Dominic had two sessions and both were equally amazing. We had one full one in and around Downtown Detroit and a second smaller session in the hockey arena that he plays in. It was so great to get creative with hockey images. When I first got into photogrpahy, the majority of what I shot was sports pictures, including hockey. A lot of those images contained the same poses with the same background. I LOVED getting creative and I hope you enjoy them as well!

Advice for Incoming College Freshmen

It can be very daunting heading into your first year of college as a freshmen. Depending on what college/university you choose, the campus is a new and sometimes a huge environment. You have new professors (they’re professors now), advisors, clubs, groups, roommates, classmates, and new paths you have to learn to get to your classes. Your classes won’t be in just one building but in many different ones. You’ll also have to find parking if you are a student that will be commuting to campus. Or figure out what bus there is to take. There’s so many new things but luckily you have me. I polled friends and family that went to a college of some sort and asked them a few questions. You’ll learn what college they went to and how they managed. Sit back, relax, and enjoy their advice!

There are many reasons why I love photographing High School Seniors in Detroit.

  1. There are so many murals with so many color options that there is bound to be something that every grad will love.

  2. You can shoot a lot in a small area! I love to be able to give you more options, in the time that we have!

  3. Detroit just has an awesome vibe that fits this generation. It’s cool, modern, classic, and just Detroit. It is who it is! Just like you!! You are who you are and I love it!
