Lifestyle Newborn Session

It is something special to be apart of a milestone session. It is even more special when that person is your cousin. I'm very honored to have been able to photograph their new bundle of joy.

Their home was the perfect setting for this session. The wood wall in their bedroom was my dream come true. His nursery was full of rustic details that made my heart so happy. From foxes to bears, books to arrows, this little boy is beyond loved. This little peanut came into the world loveing to be cuddled. His blonde fluff of hair is the cutest. He may be young but he gives the best facial expressions. I'm so excited to see how this little gentleman grows!

I wish the world for this little man. He has wonderful parents that I absolutely adore. I hope his years are full of adventures and dreams, of exploring and learning, and making taking in all this world can give. I hope

Here's a preview of this in home life style newborn session. I loved being able to capture this new family in the home they will share for many years to come!!

Whimsical Maternity Downtown Detroit

It's no secret that I love taking pictures in Downtown Detroit. I love the city  and all the different aspects it brings to pictures. Detroit is unique in the sense that her people care for her deeply. A city that was once rooted in family farms, the lumber business, then the car industry, and lastly sports. She struggled for a while but the gardens are back, as well as the cars, and the sports are booming.

This momma to be is a lover of the city as well. She was all for finding all the crazy spots. January in Detroit was no problem for her. She rocked this skirt and her belly! This momma added whimsy to this city and I can't wait for you to see how!

Classic Maternity in Detroit

I have been lucky to photograph the special moments in my cousin's life. Her engagement, wedding, and now her maternity pictures! I'm happy to say that they had their beautiful baby boy last week (another post soon to come!) and all are doing wonderfully. We had a beautiful day in January, which is rare in Michigan. We spent the hour before the sun set to capture some wonderful moments on Belle Isle. The joy between these parents is felt by all that surrounds them. I am so very excited to capture their new bundle this weekend.

Tracey and Victor

I started my business only months ago but shot this wedding almost a year ago. I'm late to the blogging game but this couple deserves a blog post. They were my unofficial first couple under my unofficial business. I had not yet started my business when I shot their wedding, but I knew that their wedding launched something I was hiding from myself for a while. Their wedding day proved that I wanted, and needed, to capture more amazing couples like them.

I've known Vic since high school. He has always been a wonderful friend and a great person to be around. He is a fellow cat lover and a huge fan of my Christmas Cards from about a decade ago. When he asked me to do their wedding, I knew I couldn't pass it up. I met Tracey on her wedding day. This can be both stressful for the bride and the photographer. It was the exact opposite. She trusted me with everything and was such an amazing bride to be around. Despite the rain, this couple took everything in stride. The love between them is undeniable, not to mention the love that surrounded them by their friends and family. Here is their rustic wedding, with details of cats and horses, sunflowers, burlap and lace.
